Malik M. Amine

I started my career writing code and shipping products, and I spent a lot of time in meetings where people argued about equity and cap tables. I watched smart people make rushed decisions with the stock their companies paid them. Malik on Money is the talks, notes, and videos that came out of that. It's general education, so it doesn't replace your CPA, your attorney, or actually working with an advisor.

It's for people in tech who get paid partly in stock: RSUs, ISOs and NSOs, ESOPs, or a big position in their employer's stock. I also cover what happens around IPOs, acquisitions, and tender offers. If most of your net worth is in one company, the equity notes are a good place to start.

Company names describe where people who have attended Malik's talks or education sessions earn their equity. Names and marks are trademarks of their respective owners and are shown only to identify the companies. None of these companies is a client of, sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with Malik on Money, Money Talk with Malik, Global Frontier Capital LLC, or Wealth Strategies Financial Group. Educating someone from a company is not a statement about that company, its stock, or any advisory relationship.

How I think about it

You're busy doing your actual job. You shouldn't have to become an expert on stock plans to understand what you're being paid. So I try to explain things simply and leave out anything you don't need.

A lot of personal finance advice online assumes you get a salary and a 401(k). Once RSUs, options, trading windows, or a big position in one stock are involved, most of that advice stops fitting.

Everything on this site is general education. Advice only happens when we actually work together, never in a video or a post.

Read first, or just book a call

Start with the notes if you'd rather learn on your own. If you have a vest, an option exercise, or an exit coming up, book 30 minutes with me. The first call is just a conversation and doesn't make you an advisory client.
